Clutter Queen
About Us

Eliminating clutter and organizing what's left
Our Story
Clutter Queen was founded by Barbara McDonell, whose journey into professional organizing began with an extraordinary estate cleanout. After 35 years as an executive secretary, Barbara was hired to sort a 5-bedroom home where the owners had kept everything for 40 years. Amid floor-to-ceiling newspapers concealing cash and bonds, unopened mail, and pill bottles hiding gold jewelry, Barbara discovered her true calling.
For the next decade, Barbara restored order and harmony to homes and offices throughout Vancouver Island, becoming a leader in the professional organizing community. In 2014, she partnered with Stephanie Deakin, who had been running Re:Organized! Professional Organizing since 2005.
Today, Clutter Queen continues Barbara's legacy of transforming overwhelming spaces into organized sanctuaries, with the same principles of patience, non-judgment, and grace.

As spaces become organized, thoughts often follow.
With over 20 years of experience in human and organizational development, Ariadna has helped people and teams learn, grow, and unlock their potential across corporate, academic, and nonprofit sectors. She's trained in Emotional Intelligence, Resilience, Emotional Freedom Techniques, and recovery programs, tools that allow her to support clients through the emotional side of decluttering with genuine empathy and encouragement.
Her approach is compassionate and practical. She honors each client's rhythm while guiding them with proven steps and simple systems that make change feel achievable and sustainable. Whether clearing a single room or transforming an entire home, every session is a chance to bring a little more harmony, inside and out, creating spaces that feel beautifully aligned with who her clients are.
